The machine supports a maximum workpiece weight of 3,300 lbs on its heavily ribbed Meehanite cast table, sized at 59" x 31" as standard, with an optional larger table of 87" x 35" for greater workpiece accommodation. The EBM offers three linear axes (X, Y, Z) with travels of 55", 35", and 39" respectively, each axis equipped with box ways and Turcite-B bearing surfaces for lasting precision. High-speed and rapid traverse rates reach up to 196 ipm and 397 ipm respectively, ensuring efficient machining cycles. The tool handling system includes a standard automatic tool changer with 5 tools and an optional extension to 30 tools, enhancing operational flexibility. Precision is maintained through double nut, pre-tensioned, anchored, and laser-aligned ballscrews with force lubrication.
