The Dynapac CC232 HF is an articulated tandem vibratory smooth drum roller in the 8-ton class, designed for high-performance compaction of soil, granular materials, and asphalt. It features split drums on both front and rear modules, allowing independent drum halves to follow uneven surfaces for improved contact and smooth operation. The roller is powered by a Deutz BF4L2011 air-cooled, turbocharged 4-cylinder diesel engine delivering 60 kW (82 hp) at 2800 rpm, providing reliable performance with low fuel consumption. Operating mass is 8400 kg (18,519 lb) including ROPS, with a maximum operating mass of 9100 kg (20,062 lb) for increased compaction force. The compaction width is 1450 mm (57 in) with a drum diameter of 1120 mm (44.1 in) and a drum shell thickness of 17 mm (0.67 in). Vibration frequency is adjustable from 54 to 71 vpm (900–1180 rpm), enabling optimal amplitude selection for different materials and layer thicknesses. The machine has a transport length of 4.3 m (14.1 ft), transport width of 1.575–1.81 m (5.17–5.94 ft), and a transport height of 2.92 m (9.58 ft) with ROPS. Travel speed ranges from 0 to 13 km/h (0–8.1 mph), and the articulated steering provides a tight inside turning radius of 1.3 ft (0.4 m) for excellent maneuverability in confined areas. The CC232 HF also features a large 120 L (31.7 US gal) fuel tank and a vertical oscillation of ±8° for consistent ground contact on uneven surfaces.
