Technical Description

The GRAY RM-48 VERTICAL BORING MILL is a robust machine designed with a Fixed Rail Design, featuring a 48-inch table diameter and a maximum swing of 56 inches. It offers a generous maximum height under the turret face of 54 inches. Driven by a powerful 75 HP motor, the transmission is a 2-Speed Geared system, allowing for High RPM operation at 287 RPM and Low RPM operation at 97 RPM. Control is managed by a Fanuc 18-TT CNC system. The machine is equipped with a 5 Station Turret, including all necessary tool holders, and utilizes a 48-inch Power Chuck with added jaws for round part applications. For efficient operation, it includes a Side Discharge Chip Conveyor. This specific unit has an estimated rebuild year of 2005.
