Technical Description

THE TONGIL TGU-27 UNIVERSAL CYLINDRICAL GRINDER FEATURES A 10.6" SWING OVER THE TABLE AND A 20" DISTANCE BETWEEN CENTERS, ACCOMMODATING A MAXIMUM WORKPIECE WEIGHT OF 286 LBS. THE WORKHEAD OFFERS 360° SWIVEL CAPABILITY (120° GAUGED) AND SIX SPEEDS RANGING FROM 46 TO 360 RPM, UTILIZING AN MT #4 CENTER TAPER. LONGITUDINAL TRAVERSE IS SUPPORTED BOTH MANUALLY (MAX 25") AND HYDRAULICALLY (MAX 24.4"), WITH AUTOMATIC TRAVERSE SPEEDS RANGING FROM 2 TO 157 IPM. THE TABLE SWIVELS UP TO 11° RIGHT AND 5° LEFT. THE WHEELHEAD SWIVELS 30° IN EACH DIRECTION AND HAS A MAXIMUM SCREW TRAVERSE OF 6.3". PRECISION FEEDING IS ACHIEVED VIA 0.0002" CROSS-FEED HANDWHEEL GRADUATIONS AND A FINE ADVANCE BUTTON REDUCTION OF 0.0002" PER PRESS. THE 14" X 1.5" X 5" GRINDING WHEEL IS DRIVEN BY A 5 HP MOTOR, ACHIEVING SPINDLE SPEEDS OF 1660 AND 1880 RPM. THE MACHINE IS EQUIPPED WITH A 14.25-GALLON HYDRAULIC SYSTEM AND A 21-GALLON CUTTING FLUID CAPACITY. ELECTRICS ARE 208V, 3-PHASE, 60 HZ.
