A+Technical Description
The Breton MATRIX 1300 K30/2T is a 5-axis vertical gantry machining center engineered for high-speed precision milling of complex workpieces in steel, lightweight alloys, composites, and specialty materials. This robust monobloc machine features a 137.8" x 137.8" work table with 118" Y-axis and 51.1" Z-axis travel, accommodating medium to large components. The vertical spindle delivers up to 28,000 rpm with 27 HP (or 54 HP optional) and accepts HSK63A tooling (HSK40E optional) via a 30-tool ATC wheel carousel. The machine incorporates Breton's proprietary High Dynamics and Thermal Shield technologies, combined with a dual-drive Z-axis system featuring 2 recirculating ball screws with double preloaded nuts and solid rear guides for maximum stability and precision. Its rigid sandwich-structure columns in stabilized arc-welded steel provide exceptional stiffness and vibration damping, enabling superior surface finishes and extended tool life. The stainless steel work area with modular panels resists dust and chip accumulation while maintaining dimensional stability. With rapid traverse rates reaching 50 m/min on X and Y axes and 40 m/min on Z, coupled with continuous C-axis rotation and 210° A-axis travel, this machine excels at hi-feed roughing, semi-finishing, and finishing operations. The configuration is ideal for precision mold and die manufacturing, aerospace component production, and general precision engineering applications requiring consistent repeatability and dimensional accuracy.
