Technical Description
The DECKEL MAHO DMC 125 UL S5 Vertical Machining Center is a full 5-axis CNC machining center designed for high precision and versatility. It features an 18,000 rpm spindle with an HSK-A63 taper, delivering a maximum spindle torque of 89 lb-ft (121 Nm) and rapid acceleration/deceleration within 2 seconds. The machine provides extensive working envelopes with X, Y, and Z travels of 49.2" (1,250 mm), 34.6" (880 mm), and 31.5" (800 mm) respectively, complemented by a B axis with 0-180 degrees simultaneous tilt and a C axis with full 360 degrees continuous rotation at 0.001-degree resolution. The NC rotary table supports workpieces up to 49.2" (1,250 mm) in diameter, 48.42" (1,230 mm) in height, and weights up to 3,307 lbs (1,500 kg), with a clamping surface of 39.4" x 31.5" (1,000 mm x 800 mm).
Equipped with an 180-position automatic tool changer (ATC), the machine accommodates tools up to 22 lb (10 kg) and 17.72" (450 mm) in length, allowing flexible machining operations. The feed rate ranges from 0.04 to 590 IPM (1 to 15,000 mm/min), with rapid feed rates up to 1,574 IPM (40 m/min) and acceleration rates of 4.5/3.5/6.0 m/s² for X/Y/Z axes. Integrated high-performance features include the HH MillPlus iT Control, BLUM tool laser measuring system, chip conveyor, chillers for spindle and coolant, 800 PSI high-pressure coolant, spray gun, and a 7-pallet pool to enhance automation and productivity. This rig combines robust mechanical construction and advanced control for efficient, high-precision 5-axis machining suitable for complex workpiece geometries.
