The DMG MORI DMU 160 P Vertical Machining Center is a high-performance 5-axis machining solution designed for complex, precision milling and turning operations. Featuring a robust duoBLOCK structure, it ensures exceptional rigidity, accuracy, and long-term stability. The machine is equipped with a rotary table/trunnion for true 5-axis capability, allowing versatile machining of intricate geometries. The table indexes with a precision of 0.001 degrees and measures 62" x 49.2", supporting large workpieces. Axis travels are 63.00" (X), 63.00" (Y), and 43.30" (Z), with rapid traverse speeds up to 2362 IPM for efficient operation. The spindle utilizes an HSK-100 taper, delivers 12,000 RPM, and is powered by a 56 HP motor, enabling high-speed, high-torque cutting. Tool capacity is 120, managed by a side-mount changer for fast tool exchange. The control system offers advanced features including CELOS Slimline Control, 21.5" ERGOline multi-touch screen, 3D quickSET, machine protection, and application tuning cycles.
