A+Technical Description
The 2005 DMG MORI SEIKI DMU 125 P duoBLOCK is a 5-axis universal machining center in the duoBLOCK configuration, combining two interlocked machine base castings to minimize thermal displacement in the working volume. The NC rotary table of 1,250 mm diameter accepts workpieces up to 1,250 mm in diameter, 1,600 mm in height, and 2,500 kg in weight, making it suitable for large aerospace components, turbine housings, and complex heavy engineering parts. The standard speedMASTER spindle delivers 35 kW of continuous power at speeds up to 12,000 RPM via an HSK-A100 taper; optional torqueMASTER configurations provide up to 52 kW and 1,800 Nm for heavy-duty titanium and hardened steel cutting. Axis travels of 1,250 mm (X), 1,250 mm (Y), and 1,000 mm (Z) define a large working envelope. B-axis swivel and full C-axis rotation enable complete 5-axis contouring and 5-sided machining in a single setup. A 60-pocket automatic tool changer is standard, with options up to 603 tools for complex automation cells. The CNC system is Siemens 840D sl or Heidenhain iTNC 530 / TNC 640 depending on production year, supporting advanced 5-axis cycle programming and thermal error compensation. Rapid traverse of 40 m/min across all linear axes supports productive large-part machining. The DMU 125 P duoBLOCK is widely used in aerospace, energy, automotive, and heavy equipment sectors for large precision 5-axis component production.
