This vertical table/work support spindle features a CAT40 BIG-PLUS® dual-contact taper interface, delivering superior rigidity and precision for demanding machining applications. The BIG-PLUS® system ensures simultaneous contact between the tool holder taper and spindle face, significantly increasing tool rigidity, minimizing deflection, and enhancing surface finish and dimensional accuracy. This design also improves ATC repeatability, reduces fretting corrosion, and eliminates Z-axis movement at high speeds, resulting in extended tool and spindle life. The spindle is compatible with up to 30 tools, supporting efficient and versatile production workflows. The machine operates on three axes (X, Y, Z) with generous travel distances: X1 axis at 30.300 inches, Y1 axis at 20.100 inches, and Z1 axis at 20.100 inches. Maximum feed rates and rapid traverse speeds are both set at 1,417 inches per minute across all axes, enabling high-speed machining and reduced cycle times. The CAT40 BIG-PLUS® taper provides a robust connection, ideal for heavy cutting and high-precision operations, while maintaining compatibility with standard CAT40 tooling when necessary.
