A+Technical Description
The Dynapac CC222 HF is a static smooth drum vibratory roller designed for high-performance compaction of asphalt and granular base layers in road and industrial paving applications. This articulated tandem roller features a 7.5-ton operating mass (7700 kg) and a compact overall width of 5.5 ft (1.68 m), making it well-suited for work in confined areas and urban environments. It is powered by a Deutz BF4L1011F air-cooled, turbocharged diesel engine, delivering 82 hp (60 kW) at 2800 rpm, with a fuel tank capacity of 120 liters for extended operation. The roller is equipped with a single smooth front drum and a smooth rear drum, each with drive, brakes, and vibration, providing excellent traction and compaction efficiency. The drum width is 57 in (1.45 m), and the static linear load is 65.5 lb/in (26.5 kg/cm). Vibration frequency is adjustable between 54–71 vpm (approximately 71 Hz), allowing operators to match compaction energy to the material and layer thickness. The CC222 HF offers a speed range of 0–13 km/h (0–8.1 mph) and a maximum theoretical gradeability of 42%, supported by hydrostatic drive and articulated steering for precise maneuverability and a tight inside turning radius of 1.3 ft (0.4 m). Transport dimensions are 14.1 ft (4.3 m) long, 5.15 ft (1.57 m) wide, and 9.58 ft (2.92 m) high, facilitating easy transport between job sites.
