A+Technical Description
The FANUC ROBOCUT C400iA-10 Wire EDM Machine delivers high-precision cutting with advanced CNC control and servo motor technology. Featuring X, Y, Z, U, and V axes, it offers travels of 14.6", 10.6", 10.2", and ±2.362" respectively, with rapid traverse speeds from 1 to 50 inches per minute. Positioning accuracy is ±0.0001" and repeatability ±0.000050", ensuring exceptional dimensional control. The machine uses AC servo motors directly coupled to ball screws for smooth, accurate motion. Maximum cutting speed reaches 31 in²/hr with 0.012" brass wire on 2.4" thick tool steel, and up to 33.5 in²/hr with coated wire on D2 steel. The internal work tank measures 30.5" x 23.6" x 9.8", supporting submerged cutting up to 9.84" depth and workpieces up to 1,100 lbs. The wire feed system accommodates diameters from 0.004" to 0.012", with a maximum spool weight of 35 lbs and tension from 200 to 2,500 grams. Round diamond die guides ensure precise wire alignment. The dielectric system features a 145-gallon tank, standard chiller, deionized water, NC-controlled resistivity, and 3-micron filtration. Cutting conditions include automatic selection for rough, finish, and micro-finish cuts. Programming supports G-code, built-in conversational, and off-line methods via RS232 or Ethernet. The transistor-driven pulse generator allows flexible parameter settings for optimal cutting performance. Total power requirement is 13 KVA (200/220V, 3-phase, 60Hz). The machine occupies 92" x 105" of floor space, weighs 4,000 lbs, and supports up to six controlled axes with linear and circular interpolation.
