The machine includes a 45-tool automatic tool changer (ATC), extendable to 250 tools, with a rapid tool change time of 2.5 seconds to maximize productivity. A standard two-pallet changer supports continuous operation and can be expanded up to 10 pallets for increased automation and throughput. The MEGA 5 offers extensive 5-axis capability through its 56.1", 53.15", and 49.8" travels on the X, Y, and Z linear axes respectively, with rapid traverse rates of up to 3,150 ipm and feed rates up to 2,362 ipm. Rotary axes include a 180° A-axis tilt and a 360° B-axis rotation, enabling full 5-sided simultaneous machining for complex geometries. It lacks a U-axis. This machine is suited for high-precision, high-throughput applications requiring complex contouring on large, heavy workpieces in aerospace, automotive, and heavy industrial sectors.
