Technical Description
The Fryer Machine Systems HR-120 is a horizontal machining center designed for heavy-duty, large-scale precision machining applications. It features a robust table measuring 126" in length and 40" in width, supporting a maximum workpiece weight of up to 10,000 lbs, making it suited for large, heavy parts. The machine is equipped with a horizontal spindle configured with a CAT 50 taper, with an optional BT 50 taper available, capable of speeds up to 6,000 RPM standard, and optionally up to 8,000 RPM. It delivers 40 HP under a 30-minute rating, providing substantial power for demanding cuts. The HR-120 supports 3 axes of movement as standard, with an optional 4th axis, offering travel distances of 120" in X, 55" in Y, and 50" in Z axes. All axes have a maximum feed rate and rapid traverse of 600 inches per minute. The tooling system includes an optional automatic tool changer (ATC) that can handle 24 tools, with an option to expand to 40 tools, and achieves tool change times as fast as 4 seconds. This configuration enables continuous and efficient machining processes with minimized downtime. Overall, the HR-120 offers a combination of large work envelope, high spindle torque, flexible tooling capacity, and precise 3- or 4-axis machining capabilities, making it well-suited for machining large components in automotive, aerospace, heavy equipment, and similar industries.
