Technical Description
The +GF+ Mikron UCP 600 Vario is a high-precision 5-axis vertical machining center engineered for versatile and complex component manufacturing. It features travel capacities of 23.62 inches (X), 17.70 inches (Y), and 17.70 inches (Z), complemented by rotary axes B and C with -115° to +30° tilt and full 360° rotation, enabling simultaneous 5-axis machining. The machine is powered by a robust 30 kW spindle capable of speeds up to 20,000 RPM, utilizing an HSK-A63 taper for high-speed, high-precision tool holding. Tool management is facilitated by a 30-position automatic tool changer, allowing for efficient production runs and minimal downtime.
Its rotary table measures 17.70 inches in diameter with a maximum load capacity of 440 lbs manually and 198 lbs automatically, supporting medium to large part sizes. Rapid traverse rates are high, at 866 inches per minute on the linear axes, and 25/33 RPM on the rotary axes, enabling swift tool paths and cycle times. The machine incorporates advanced features such as a pallet changer system (System 3R) with seven pallets, chip conveyor, liquid-cooled feed motors, laser tool measurement, and touch probes (M & H), enhancing automation and quality control.
This machining center is built on a sturdy footprint of 165" x 126" x 100" and weighs approximately 16,976 lbs, indicative of its industrial-grade construction. Manufactured in Switzerland with a rebuilt spindle, the UCP 600 Vario excels in delivering precision, rigidity, and adaptability for high-speed machining environments, suitable for aerospace, automotive, and general precision engineering sectors.
