The HAAS AUTOMATION, INC. ST-25Y Horizontal Machining Center is a high-performance CNC turning center designed for precision and productivity. It features a main spindle with a maximum turning diameter of 12.0" and a maximum turning length of 21.0", accommodating a 10" chuck and a maximum bar diameter of 3.0". The spindle operates at up to 3,400 RPM with 30 HP motor power, providing robust cutting capability. The machine is equipped with a BMT65 turret housing up to 12 turning tools and 6 rotary live tools, the latter with 5 HP power and speeds up to 6,000 RPM, enabling complex multitasking operations. It supports simultaneous cutting with a single tool across 4 axes (X, Y, Z, and C), with travel distances of 9.3", 4.0", and 21.0", respectively, for X, Y, and Z axes. The machine delivers rapid feed rates of 945 IPM on all axes, ensuring efficient material removal and short cycle times. The ST-25Y is engineered with increased rigidity from redesigned castings and an 11% smaller footprint compared to prior models, enhancing machining accuracy and shop floor efficiency. Additional features include spindle orientation, a 15” color LCD monitor, USB connectivity, and optional auto door and parts loading systems, making it suitable for high-volume, complex turning applications requiring tight tolerances and multitasking capabilities.
