A+Technical Description
The HAMM 3412 is a static smooth drum roller designed for high-performance soil and asphalt compaction in demanding construction applications. It features a wide 84.3 in (2.14 m) smooth front drum with a diameter of 59.3 in (1.504 m) and a drum thickness of 1.2 in (30 mm), delivering a high static linear load of 266 lb/in (about 47.2 kg/cm) for excellent compaction efficiency. The machine is powered by a DEUTZ BF4M2012C diesel engine producing 131.5 hp (98 kW), providing reliable performance and strong tractive effort. It has an operating weight of 26,874.4 lb (12,190 kg) and a fuel capacity of 792.6 gal (3,000 L), supporting extended operation on large job sites. The 3412 is equipped with stepless hydrostatic all-wheel drive and articulated steering, enabling smooth, precise maneuverability and excellent gradeability even on rough or uneven terrain. Its 3-point articulation system ensures uniform weight distribution and outstanding traction. The operator platform is vibration-isolated and ergonomically designed with a rotatable, adjustable seat, tiltable steering column, and intuitive controls for comfort and visibility. Standard features include automatic traction control, anti-slip control, speed preselect, and a comprehensive dashboard with displays and indicators. The roller achieves a working speed of up to 7 mph (11.3 km/h) and a transport speed of 11 mph (17.7 km/h), making it efficient for both compaction and site mobility.
