HANWHA STL38 HORIZONTAL MACHINING CENTER

The Hanwha STL38 Horizontal Machining Center is a high-performance CNC lathe designed for precision and productivity in complex machining applications. Featuring a main spindle with a maximum turning diameter of 1.500" and a turning length of 12.600", it supports bar diameters up to 1.500". The machine is equipped with a sub-spindle, also capable of 1.500" turning diameter and 12.600" length, enabling efficient secondary operations. Both main and sub-spindles operate at speeds up to 8,000 RPM, with 10.60 HP for robust cutting performance. The primary tool carrier is a turret supporting up to 6 turning tools and 4 rotary tools, each with 2.10 HP and 6,000 RPM capability. A second tool carrier, the front slide, adds 5 turning and 4 rotary tools, also with 2.10 HP and 6,000 RPM. The system allows up to 3 simultaneous cutting tools, enhancing efficiency. Secondary milling and drilling functions are standard, both on- and off-center, with support for 'C' and 'Y' axes. The machine offers 10 axes of motion, with options for 11, and features X, Y, and Z axis travels of 2.360", 11.610", and 4.720" respectively, all with rapid traverse speeds of 943 ipm.
