Technical Description
The HELLER H 4000 Horizontal Machining Center is a robust, high-precision 4-axis CNC machine designed for demanding production environments. Featuring a horizontal spindle configuration, it delivers outstanding process stability, reliability, and productivity even under extreme loads and continuous 3-shift operation. The machine offers an X, Y, and Z-axis travel of 31.496 inches (800 mm) each, providing generous working space for a wide range of workpiece sizes. The rotary table (B-axis) enables continuous 360° rotation, supporting complex machining strategies and high circular milling torque. The pallet dimensions are 19.685 inches (500 mm) in width and 24.803 inches (630 mm) in length, with a maximum table load capacity of 1,400 kg, making it suitable for heavy and large components. The H 4000 is equipped with a high-performance HSK-A 63 tool shank, ensuring excellent tool rigidity and precision. Its advanced NC rotary feed table, powered by a gear drive and supported by a YRT bearing, guarantees high rigidity, accurate positioning, and reliable tilting moments. The machine features a standard pallet changer, short tooling times, and a dynamic tool changer with two NC axes for maximum precision and minimal idle times. Linear axes utilize roller guideways and ball screw drives, while direct absolute measuring systems (glass scales) ensure low positioning tolerance and maximum accuracy. The compact, robust design, combined with thermal stability and precision cooling, supports consistent high cutting performance and long-term reliability. The H 4000 is highly configurable, easy to automate, and ideal for series production of small to medium batch sizes across diverse materials and part geometries.
