Technical Description
The Heller H 6000 is a robust horizontal 4-axis machining center designed for high-precision, high-volume manufacturing. It features a large 24.8" x 24.8" work table capable of supporting workpieces weighing up to 2,200 lbs, with a standard 2-pallet changer system to maximize productivity. The machine operates with a horizontal spindle equipped with an HSK-A100 taper, delivering up to 8,000 RPM standard, with an optional increase to 12,500 RPM. The spindle power is rated at 57 HP (30-minute rating) with an optional upgrade to 69 HP, providing strong cutting capabilities for a range of materials.
The machine supports a 4-axis configuration, including a full 360° B-axis rotary table, enabling complex part machining and high flexibility. Axis travels are substantial, with 39.3" movement along the X, Y, and Z axes, and rapid traverse rates of up to 1,965 inches per minute (approximately 50 m/min), ensuring fast, precise positioning.
Tool management is handled by a 50-position automatic tool changer (ATC), expandable up to 425 tools, with a chip-to-chip tool change time of 3.6 seconds, minimizing downtime. The setup includes a standard pallet changer with two pallets to keep setups efficient. The system integrates ergonomic features such as LED lighting in the work area, a touch-sensitive control panel, and advanced thermal stability for consistent precision.
With integrated high-dynamics linear and rotary axes, direct absolute glass scale measurements for positioning accuracy, and a rugged cast iron structure, the H 6000 delivers excellent rigidity and precision for demanding machining tasks in steel, aluminum, and difficult materials. It supports power and speed packages for optimized performance based on production needs.
