The Heller Machine Tools H 8000 is a high-performance horizontal machining center designed for heavy-duty and precise machining tasks. It features a large 31.4" x 31.4" table capable of supporting workpieces up to 4,400 lbs, enabling it to handle substantial components efficiently. The machine operates with a horizontal spindle equipped with an HSK-A100 taper, offering high-speed capabilities with a top RPM of 8,000, optional upgrade to 12,500 RPM, and a powerful spindle motor rated at 57 HP (30-minute rating) with an optional increase to 79 HP. The tool carrier is an automatic tool changer (ATC) system that accommodates up to 50 tools standard, expandable to 425 tools, with a rapid tool change time of 4.5 seconds, optimizing productivity. Two pallets are standard with a pallet changer, facilitating continuous machining operations. The machine operates on four axes (X, Y, Z, and B rotary axis), with substantial travel distances: 49.21" (X), 47.24" (Y), 43.3" (Z), and a full 360° rotation on the B-axis. Rapid traverse rates reach up to 1,965 inches per minute on linear axes, supporting fast and smooth machining cycles.
