The Hitachi ZX180W mobile excavator is a versatile wheeled excavator designed for efficient digging and loading operations with three boom/stick options offering varying performance metrics. Option 1 provides a max cutting height of 30.2 ft, 17.6 ft digging depth, 21 ft max loading height, and 29.5 ft reach along the ground. Option 2 increases these capabilities with a 30.5 ft max cutting height, 19 ft digging depth, 21.3 ft loading height, and 30.7 ft reach. Option 3 offers the highest capacity with a 31.7 ft cutting height, 20.7 ft digging depth, 22.5 ft loading height, and 32.4 ft max reach along the ground. The hydraulic system includes dual variable displacement axial piston pumps with a flow capacity of 105.7 gpm at a relief pressure of 4980 psi. The hydraulic fluid capacity is 71.4 gallons. The excavator features a 24V electrical system, 50 amp alternator, and 74-gallon fuel tank. Its undercarriage has an 8.7 ft wheelbase, ground clearance of 1.2 ft, and an overall width of 8.4 ft (12.2 ft with outriggers down). Tail swing radius is compact at 8.1 ft. The transmission is a 2-gear powershift type with max travel speed of 18.7 mph (29 kph) and oscillating axle angle of 12 degrees. Swing speed reaches 12.8 rpm.
