Technical Description
The Hitachi ZX210LC-6 is a robust medium-to-large hydraulic excavator designed for demanding construction and excavation tasks. Powered by an Isuzu 4HK1 turbocharged, air-to-air charge-air cooled engine, it delivers a net power of 160-164 hp (119-122 kW) at 2000 rpm, meeting EPA Final Tier 4 emissions standards without requiring a diesel particulate filter. The engine has a displacement of 316.8 cubic inches (5.19 L), providing strong torque of approximately 670 Nm at 1600 rpm. With an operating weight around 48,000 to 50,265 lbs (21,800 to 22,800 kg), this excavator offers excellent stability and ground clearance of roughly 1.5 ft.
Its hydraulic system features a TRIAS II setup with three variable displacement axial piston pumps delivering a combined flow over 35.7 gpm at implement pressures of up to 4975 psi, supporting precise and efficient operation of boom, stick, and bucket. The ZX210LC-6 achieves arm digging forces of over 25,600 lbs (ISO) and bucket digging forces exceeding 35,500 lbs (ISO). Travel speeds range from 2.2 mph in low gear to 3.5 mph in high gear, with a drawbar pull of about 45,636 lbs, ensuring strong mobility on rough terrain.
The machine dimensions include a maximum digging reach along the ground of 32 ft and a maximum digging depth of approximately 21.2 ft, with a max cutting height of around 32.2 ft and maximum dumping height near 23.7 ft. The cab offers enhanced operator comfort with noise and vibration isolation, a wide entryway, and a multifunction LCD monitor. Additional features include a hydraulic track adjustment system, pilot controls with shutoff lever, and a durable undercarriage with 49 track shoes per side. The ZX210LC-6 balances power, precision, and operator comfort for versatile excavation performance.
