A+Technical Description
The Hurco VM10UI Vertical Machining Center is a compact, high-performance 5-axis CNC machine designed for precision machining of complex parts. Featuring an integrated trunnion table, it provides excellent Z-axis clearance and a robust work envelope with X/Y/Z travels of 21", 16", and 19" respectively, and A-axis rotation from +30° to -110°, with full 360° C-axis indexing. The table measures 7.8" in diameter and supports a maximum workpiece weight of 330 lbs, making it ideal for small to medium-sized components, particularly in aluminum and lighter materials. The vertical spindle delivers a top speed of 12,000 RPM, powered by a 15 hp (30-minute rating) motor, and is equipped with a CAT #40 taper for versatile tooling compatibility. Tool changing is managed by a 24-station swing-arm automatic tool changer, ensuring rapid and efficient tool swaps. The machine boasts rapid traverse rates of 1,102 ipm on the X, Y, and Z axes, supporting high-speed machining operations. All axes are driven by precision linear guides and servo motors, ensuring accuracy and repeatability. The VM10UI is equipped with a MAX 5 control system, enabling intuitive programming and seamless integration with offline CAM software. Standard features include a full enclosure, coolant system, chip auger, and chiller. With a compact footprint and robust construction, the VM10UI is well-suited for demanding production environments requiring flexibility, speed, and accuracy in 5-axis machining applications.
