A+Technical Description
This vertical machining center features a 50" x 24" table capable of supporting workpieces up to 3,000 lbs, suitable for heavy-duty machining tasks. It operates on a 3-axis system (X, Y, Z) with travel of 42", 24", and 24" respectively, each axis capable of maximum and rapid feed rates up to 1,260 inches per minute, enabling efficient material removal and precision positioning. The spindle is vertical with a CAT 40 / Big PlusĀ® taper, optionally BT 40, delivering up to 12,000 RPM and powered by a 24 HP motor rated for 30 minutes, offering high-speed, high-rigidity machining performance. The Big PlusĀ® spindle system ensures dual contact between the taper and spindle face, significantly enhancing tool rigidity, machining accuracy, and surface finish while minimizing deflection and axial movement during heavy cutting operations. The tool carrier uses an automatic tool changer (ATC) swing arm system accommodating 30 tools standard, expandable to 40, facilitating quick tool changes and improved productivity. Optional support for indexing and rotary tables is available, increasing versatility for complex or multi-faceted workpieces. This machine is optimized for precision, high-load capacity, and productivity in milling, drilling, and boring applications requiring robust construction and advanced spindle technology to maximize cutting accuracy and tool life.
