Technical Description

The Ingersoll Rand SD-116F is a heavy-duty single drum vibratory soil compactor designed for high-performance compaction on large-scale earthwork and paving projects. It is powered by a turbocharged Cummins diesel engine delivering 155 hp (116 kW) gross and net power, providing strong, reliable performance under demanding conditions. The compactor features a large smooth drum with an 84.1 in width and 51 in diameter, delivering high centrifugal force of 60,923.3 lbs (high) and 59,349.6 lbs (low) across a vibration frequency range of 1,225–2,025 vpm, with selectable frequencies of 27.5 and 34 vpm for optimal material density control. It has a nominal amplitude of 0.1 in in both high and low settings, suitable for a wide range of soil and granular base applications. The machine is equipped with a hydrostatic transmission offering two forward and two reverse gears, enabling smooth, stepless speed control up to 7.8 mph (11 km/h). With an operating width of 90 in and a tight 136 in inside turning radius, the SD-116F provides excellent maneuverability on job sites. It runs on 23.1x26 8PR R1 tires, has a 10.2 ft wheelbase, and stands 10.4 ft high with 1.6 ft of ground clearance, combining stability, visibility, and access for efficient operation in varied terrain.
