The JOHNFORD ROUNDTOP TC-50H is a heavy-duty horizontal machining center designed for precise turning operations with a maximum spindle turning diameter of 14.56" and a turning length of up to 47.2". It features a robust 15" spindle chuck diameter and a maximum swing of 20.8", accommodating bar diameters up to 4.57". The machine is equipped with a powerful 30 HP main spindle motor running at up to 1,700 RPM, with an optional upgrade to 35 HP for enhanced performance. The unit supports dual main spindles, each offering identical power and speed specifications, enabling flexible operation. The primary tool carrier is a turret type, supporting up to 12 turning and 12 rotary tools with rotary tools capable of 5 HP power at speeds up to 4,000 RPM, allowing complex simultaneous machining with one cutting tool actively engaged. The TC-50H operates with 2 axes standard, with options expanding to 3-axis control to facilitate versatile machining tasks. Axis travels include 11.42" in X, rapid traverse rates of 590 ipm in X, Y, and Z axes, and Z-axis travel of 40.94", delivering high-speed movement and precision.
