Technical Description
The Juaristi TH5 Series Horizontal Machining Center is a high-capacity, 5-axis CNC machining center designed for precision and heavy-duty machining tasks. It features a large work table measuring 79" x 79" capable of supporting workpieces up to 24,000 lbs, with a standard rotary table for enhanced versatility. The horizontal spindle utilizes an HSK-100 taper and operates at a maximum of 6,000 RPM, optionally upgraded to 12,000 RPM, powered by a 50 HP motor rated for 30 minutes. The machining center includes an automatic tool changer (ATC) that holds up to 60 tools, with an option to expand to 300, providing efficient tool management and an average tool change time of 5 seconds. Automation is further enhanced by a standard pallet changer with two pallets, expandable to four, to optimize production flow.
The machine’s travels are robust at 79" along X, Y, and Z axes, with optional extensions up to 118" (X, Y) and 98" (Z), delivering maximum feed and rapid traverse rates of 1,575 ipm. The rotary axes offer 210° rotation on A1 and full 360° on B1, enabling complex 5-axis machining capabilities. The design includes a symmetrical architecture with a central headstock and hydrostatic rotary table, ensuring high rigidity, precision, and thermal stability for heavy and complex parts. The TH5 is suitable for high-speed, high-precision machining in demanding industries, equipped with advanced features like high-pressure coolant through spindle and comprehensive chip management.
