Technical Description
This vertical CNC machining center features a large rectangular table measuring 137.8 inches in length and 23.6 inches in width, capable of supporting workpieces up to 5,511 lbs, making it suitable for heavy-duty machining tasks. The machine operates on 3 axes (X, Y, Z) with travels of 126", 29", and 25" respectively, all capable of rapid traverse at 1,260 inches per minute, enabling high-speed, precise positioning and efficient material removal.
Its spindle is vertically oriented with a standard taper compatible with BT40, CAT40, and DIN40 tool holders, while optional upgrades allow BT50, CAT50, or DIN50 holders for larger tooling. The top spindle speed reaches 10,000 RPM powered by a 15 HP motor rated for 30 minutes, with an optional upgrade to 20 HP for enhanced cutting power. The tool management system is an automatic tool changer (ATC) accommodating 24 tools standard, extendable to 40 tools, enabling continuous and versatile operations without manual tool changes.
The machine does not have a U-axis rotary feature or pallet changer, focusing on robust, precise 3-axis milling capabilities ideal for large, heavy parts. The BT40/CAT40 taper system supports balanced, stable tooling at high speeds, with metric and imperial tool holder compatibilities depending on configuration. The high feed rates combined with the rigid structure and heavy workpiece capacity make this machine optimal for machining large molds, dies, aerospace components, and similar large-scale manufacturing applications requiring reliability and precision.
