The Kern 2216 Vertical Machining Center is a high-precision, compact CNC machine designed for demanding micromachining applications. Featuring a vertical spindle with a #20 taper, it delivers exceptional accuracy and surface finish, making it ideal for industries such as medical, aerospace, and precision tooling. The machine is equipped with a high-speed spindle capable of up to 42,000 RPM (with an optional upgrade to 160,000 RPM), powered by a 2.0 HP (30-minute rating) motor, ensuring efficient material removal and fine detail work. The worktable measures 10.630" x 8.260", supporting workpieces up to 67 lbs, and includes an automatic tool changer (ATC) with 12 standard tool stations (expandable to 24), enabling rapid and flexible tooling changes.
