Technical Description

The Kitamura Mycenter HX400i Horizontal Machining Center is a high-precision, mid-size CNC machine engineered for demanding production environments. It features a full 4th axis continuous indexing rotary table, enabling versatile fixturing and complex part machining. The machine is equipped with a 15.75-inch horizontal table/pallet and a standard 2-pallet automatic pallet changer (APC) for uninterrupted operation. Axis travels are 28.90 inches (X), 24.00 inches (Y), and 24.00 inches (Z), providing an expansive work envelope. The spindle utilizes a 40 taper with a maximum speed of 13,000 RPM and is driven by a 25 HP motor, ensuring robust cutting performance. Tool management is handled by a 50-tool arm-type magazine with a rapid 1-second tool change time and 3-second chip-to-chip cycle. The control system is a Fanuc 16iMB with a 10.4" color LCD, 16 MB Fanuc Data Server, and advanced features including AI Nano Control, IAC System 1, and a 16 million pulse encoder system for exceptional accuracy. Additional capabilities include 4 sets of M functions, 54 work coordinate offsets, 82 User Macro B variables, 99 tool offsets, and 200 registerable programs. High precision contour control and NURBS interpolation ensure smooth, accurate machining. The machine supports background editing, tool life management, and offers 1280 meters of memory.
