The Komatsu NTC ZH4000 is a 4-axis horizontal machining center designed for high-precision manufacturing with a compact 15.7" x 15.7" tabletop supporting workpieces up to 550 lbs. It features a powerful CAT-40 spindle rated at 25 HP (30-minute rating) with a top speed of 12,000 RPM, optimized for high-speed and heavy-duty machining tasks. The horizontal spindle orientation enhances chip evacuation and tooling flexibility. Tool handling is managed by a 40-tool twin-arm automatic tool changer (ATC) with rapid tool change times of 1.5 seconds and chip-to-chip time of 4 seconds, ensuring minimal downtime during production. The machine includes a standard pallet changer with two pallets to facilitate continuous operation and improve throughput. Axis travels measure 25" on X, and 22" on Y and Z, with rapid traverse rates up to 2,362 inches per minute, enabling fast and precise positioning.
