Technical Description
The Komatsu PC360LCi-11 is a heavy-duty hydraulic excavator designed for high efficiency and precision in earthmoving and excavation tasks. It features a Tier 4 Final compliant 257 hp (192 kW) six-cylinder turbocharged engine operating at 1,950 rpm, delivering robust power while meeting stringent emission standards. The machine’s operating weight ranges from approximately 78,484 to 79,807 lbs (35,600–36,200 kg), providing stability and strength for demanding applications. Its hydraulic system, equipped with Komatsu’s HydrauMind closed-center load sensing technology, offers six selectable working modes for optimized performance across various tasks. The main variable displacement axial piston pump supplies a maximum flow of 535 L/min (141.3 gal/min), supporting boom, arm, bucket, swing, and travel operations with high responsiveness and efficiency.
The PC360LCi-11 excels in reach and digging capabilities, with a maximum digging depth of 26.6 ft and a maximum reach along the ground of 39 ft when equipped with the 6,500 mm (21'3") boom and 3,185 mm (10'5") arm. Its bucket capacity ranges from 0.68 to 1.96 cubic meters (0.89 to 2.56 cubic yards), suitable for a wide range of material volumes. The excavator incorporates factory-integrated Intelligent Machine Control technology, including stroke sensing hydraulic cylinders, GNSS components, and an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), which enables semi-automatic excavation with precise grade control, reducing operator fatigue, over-excavation, and rework.
Additional features include a robust undercarriage with sealed track adjusters, a comfortable, spacious cab with an advanced high-resolution LCD monitor, and enhanced safety with ROPS and top guard protection. Maintenance is simplified by integrated service points, including combined engine oil check and filter access. The machine also offers high torque swing capability (82,313 ft-lbs) and hydrostatic drive with a maximum travel speed of 5.5 km/h (3.4 mph) and 70% gradeability, ensuring reliable mobility and productivity on challenging job sites.
