Technical Description
The Link-Belt 2700 Quantum is a high-performance hydraulic excavator engineered for demanding construction and excavation tasks. This model features a robust 100 hp (75 kW) turbocharged and aftercooled A-4BG1T engine, delivering a maximum torque of 255 lbs-ft at 1,600 rpm, ensuring reliable power across diverse job sites. With an operating weight of 35,240 lbs, the 2700 Quantum offers excellent stability and traction. The machine is equipped with a three-speed independent hydrostatic travel system, powered by compact axial piston motors and a planetary reduction unit, enabling a top travel speed of 3.4 mph (5 kph) and a ground pressure of 5.6 psi for optimal underfoot performance. The hydraulic system includes two variable displacement axial piston pumps, providing a total flow capacity of 72 gpm and a relief valve pressure of 4,980 psi, supporting efficient attachment, swing, and travel operations. The excavator’s dimensions include a ground clearance of 1.5 ft, a height to the top of the cab of 9.6 ft, and a width to the outside of tracks of 8.5 ft. The undercarriage features 7 track rollers per side, 2 carrier rollers per side, and 43 shoes per side, each measuring 23.7 in, with a track gauge of 6.6 ft. The swing mechanism delivers a speed of 11.3 rpm, while the hydraulic system’s fluid capacity is 37.6 gal and the cooling system holds 4.6 gal. The 2700 Quantum is available with two boom/stick configurations, offering maximum cutting heights from 30.2 ft to 31.5 ft, digging depths up to 21.2 ft, and loading heights up to 22.8 ft. The bucket capacity ranges from 0.5 to 1 cu yd, with a reference capacity of 0.8 cu yd. The machine is equipped with a 24-volt electrical system, a 40-amp alternator, and a 63.5-gal fuel tank, ensuring extended operational periods.
