This CNC lathe features a 14-inch swing and a machining length of 39.37 inches, controlled by the Fagor 8055 CNC system. The Fagor 8055 control is a robust and versatile system designed for demanding shop environments with a modular design and rugged, fully alpha-numeric keyboard. It supports up to 4 axes control and integrates a powerful PLC with logic analyzer for advanced automation. Key features include an 11-inch color flat screen, USB and RS-232/422 ports for fast program uploading and communication, and automatic input voltage sensing (85–265 VAC). The control offers manual feedrate override (0-120%) and spindle speed override (50-120%), enhancing operator precision.
Operating modes include execution, single block, MDI/Teach-In, jog/manual, and conversational programming, supporting absolute and incremental programming with complex interpolation capabilities (linear, circular, helical). The system supports multiple canned cycles such as turning, facing, taper turning, milling, drilling, boring, and reaming. It also features tool and spindle management, including programmable spindle speeds, spindle orientation (M19), and automatic tool calibration via integrated cycles or touch probe input.
The Fagor 8055 system offers extensive input/output connectivity, including feedback inputs for servos and probes, digital and analog I/O, and optional remote CAN modules for scalable expansion. It incorporates jerk control for smooth acceleration, high-speed communication ports, and a 512 MB flash memory for program storage.
