The Mazak HCN-10800 Horizontal Machining Center is a high-performance CNC machine designed for heavy-duty and precision machining of large workpieces. It features substantial travel axes with X-axis at 66.93 inches (1700 mm), Y-axis at 55.12 inches (1400 mm), and Z-axis at 60.04 inches (1525 mm), enabling a wide machining envelope. The machine accommodates a 39.37-inch (1000 mm) pallet and supports large, heavy parts with a rigid, vibration-damping construction for enhanced stability and accuracy. Its standard spindle is a built-in motor design running at 10,000 rpm with 37 kW (50 HP) peak power and 350 N·m torque, oil and air lubricated for durability. Optional spindle configurations include higher-speed (16,000 rpm) and high-torque (8,000 rpm) packages tailored for specialized machining needs. The spindle taper is typically BT50 or HSK A-100 for flexibility in tooling. It includes a fast rapid traverse with a Z-axis rapid rate up to 34,000 mm/min (1339 ipm) and quick pallet change times (~76 seconds) enabled by a standard two-pallet changer system. The CNC control is Mazatrol SmoothG, offering advanced but user-friendly operation and automation-readiness compatible with Mazak’s PALLETECH system. Tool magazine capacity options go up to 80 tools, facilitating efficient high-mix production environments.
