Technical Description
The MAZAK QTU 350MSY HP is a high-performance 40-inch swing horizontal machining center designed for advanced multi-tasking and precision turning operations. Featuring a robust main spindle with a maximum turning diameter of 16.25 inches and a 10-inch chuck, it delivers a maximum swing of 27.4 inches and supports bar stock up to 3 inches in diameter. The main spindle operates at speeds up to 3,500 RPM with a continuous power output of 30 HP, ensuring efficient heavy-duty machining of ferrous and difficult-to-machine materials. The sub-spindle provides high-speed capability at 6,000 RPM and 14.8 HP, enabling rapid secondary operations and part transfer. This model supports up to four axes of simultaneous movement, including X, Y, and Z axes with travel distances of 8.5 inches, 2 inches, and 45.5 inches respectively, allowing for complex contouring and milling operations. The integrated Y-axis and milling functionality enable DONE IN ONE® part processing, reducing setup times and increasing productivity. The machine is equipped with a high-speed drum turret for rapid tool indexing and a built-in motor spindle for minimal vibration and maximum accuracy. Advanced features include programmable C-axis positioning, automatic tool measurement, and efficient chip evacuation with high-pressure coolant. Designed for versatility and reliability, the QTU 350MSY HP is ideal for shops requiring high-precision, multi-axis machining in a single setup.
