Technical Description

The Mazak VTC-800/30SR is a high-performance 5-axis vertical machining center designed for precision and versatility in heavy-duty manufacturing. It features a large fixed table measuring 137.8" by 32.28" capable of supporting up to 5,512 lbs of workpiece weight, ideal for machining large or heavy components. The machine is equipped with a vertical CAT #40 taper spindle delivering up to 18,000 RPM and 47 HP (30-minute rating), optimized for high-speed and high-accuracy operations. The spindle incorporates hybrid ceramic bearing technology to enhance reliability and reduce thermal deformation, ensuring stable cutting performance. The tool capacity includes a standard 30-position automatic tool changer (ATC), with an option to expand to 48 tools, enabling efficient machining of complex parts with minimal downtime. Tool change times are 1.5 seconds for tool-to-tool and 4.7 seconds including chip removal, contributing to productive cycle times.
