Technical Description
The Niigata Machine Techno USA, Inc. HN1000-S is a robust horizontal machining center designed for heavy-duty industrial applications with a large table measuring 39.37" x 39.37" and a maximum workpiece capacity of 7,700 lbs. It features a 4-axis configuration with an optional 5th axis, including a full 360° B axis, enabling complex multi-sided machining. Its horizontal spindle, with a CT #50 taper, delivers 50 HP (30-minute rating) at a maximum speed of 6,000 RPM, with an optional 35 HP and a reduced max RPM of 3,500 for demanding cutting scenarios. The machine includes a 62-tool automatic tool changer (ATC) with an option for up to 230 tools, and fast tool change times of 6.5 seconds per tool, complemented by a standard 2-pallet changer expandable up to 50 pallets for continuous, unattended operation.
Its travel capacities are extensive: X-axis up to 79.92", Y-axis up to 64.96" (optionally 59.06"), Z-axis up to 47.24", all featuring rapid traverse rates of 1,575 ipm and max feed rates of 787 ipm. The machine offers a standard indexed work support table with an optional rotary table for enhanced versatility in precision part positioning. This HMC combines high spindle power, large work envelope, robust payload capacity, and flexible tooling, making it suitable for aerospace, automotive, and heavy equipment manufacturing where large, heavy, multi-axis machining tasks are required.
