Technical Description
The Niigata Machine Techno USA HN800-S is a high-performance horizontal machining center featuring a 31.49" x 31.49" table capable of supporting up to 5,500 lbs. It integrates a hybrid guideway system combining ultra-rigid linear roller guides on the X and Z axes and a hardened, ground boxway guide on the Y axis to maximize rigidity, vibration dampening, and machining accuracy. The machine offers travels of 60.2" (X), 48.4" (Y), and 40.2" (Z) with rapid traverse rates up to 1,614 ipm on all three axes, enabling efficient material removal and reduced cycle times.
The horizontal spindle is center-mounted, oriented horizontally with a CT #50 taper standard and an optional HSK-A100 taper, running up to 6,000 RPM (optionally 3,500 RPM) and powered by a robust 50 HP (30-minute rating) motor, with a 40 HP option. The spindle features a heavy-duty geared head for high torque output, ensuring precision under heavy cuts. Tool handling is facilitated by an automatic tool changer (ATC) with a standard capacity of 62 tools, upgradeable to 230, with tool change times of 6.5 seconds and chip-to-chip time of 12 seconds.
Standard equipment includes a pallet changer with two pallets, expandable up to 50 pallets for increased automation and throughput. The machine supports three axes, with an optional fourth axis and rotary table support for enhanced flexibility. This model excels in large workpiece machining, providing superior speed, stability, and accuracy, suitable for demanding industrial applications requiring heavy, large-part processing with excellent rigidity and dynamic performance.
