The machine operates primarily with a horizontal spindle utilizing a #50 taper, delivering up to 8,000 RPM as standard, and optionally up to 15,000 RPM, powered by a 40 HP motor rated for 30 minutes. Tooling is managed by an automatic tool changer (ATC) with a standard capacity of 60 tools, expandable to 230, boasting a rapid tool change time of 1.4 seconds to optimize productivity.
This CNC machining center operates with 3 axes and offers an optional fourth axis for complex machining requirements. Its travel distances are substantial: 59.1" on the X-axis, 51.2" on the Y-axis, and 45.3" on the Z-axis, all with rapid traverse rates up to 1,968 inches per minute, enabling efficient material removal rates. A pallet changer with two pallets is standard, facilitating continuous operation. The machine's rigid Box in Box® double-box structure ensures long-term 3D accuracy and stability, critical for precision machining. Additional features include a Fanuc CNC controller and options like spindle center-through coolant to enhance machining performance and tool life.
