Technical Description

The Okuma Genos M460-5AX is a high-precision 5-axis vertical machining center engineered for complex parts manufacturing with a compact footprint. It features a 15.75" diameter trunnion table supporting a maximum load of 440 lbs and full 5-axis simultaneous control, with A-axis rotation from -120° to +30° and full 360° C-axis rotation. The machine offers travels of 15.75", 24.41", and 18.11" on the X, Y, and Z axes, respectively. Equipped with a 15,000 RPM CAT 40 spindle powered by a 29.5 HP motor, it provides excellent rigidity and minimal vibration, delivering superior surface finish and metal removal rates. The tool changer holds up to 32 tools, accommodating a maximum tool weight of 17.64 lbs, 11.81" tool length, and up to 2.95" tool diameter (expandable to 5.91" with empty adjacent pockets).
