OKUMA MA-500HII HORIZONTAL MACHINING CENTER

The Okuma MA-500HII is a high-performance horizontal machining center designed for precision and productivity in mass production and long, continuous die/mold applications. It features a 19.69" x 19.69" rotary pallet supporting workpieces up to 1,760 lbs, with an optional rotary table and pallet changer capable of handling up to 8 pallets. The machine operates with a #50 taper spindle, optionally available with HSK-A63 taper, delivering up to 6,000 RPM as standard and an optional 12,000 RPM, powered by a 40 HP motor (30 HP optional). Its 4-axis configuration includes X, Y, Z travels of 27.56", 35.43", and 30.71" respectively, with a B-axis offering 360° rotation for complex machining. The rapid feed rate is 2,362 inches per minute on all linear axes. The MA-500HII supports an automatic tool changer with a capacity of up to 400 tools, achieving tool change times of approximately 2 seconds and chip-to-chip times of 4 seconds. This machining center integrates seamlessly into automated production lines, enhancing throughput and efficiency while maintaining tight tolerances through features like thermal stabilization systems.
