A+Technical Description
The Quaser MF500 is a versatile five-axis vertical machining center engineered for precision manufacturing of complex components. Featuring a vertical spindle with ISO #40 taper, the machine delivers 20 HP at speeds up to 12,000 RPM, with an optional 14 HP/9,000 RPM configuration for specialized applications. The rotary table accommodates workpieces up to 440 lbs with a generous 16.14" x 16.14" work surface, and optional indexing and rotary table support enhance multi-sided machining capabilities. The five-axis configuration includes 21.6" X-axis, 31.4" Y-axis, and 24" Z-axis travels, providing ample working envelope for medium-sized components. With rapid traverse rates reaching 1,417 IPM and cutting feeds to 787 IPM, the MF500 delivers efficient material removal across ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 30-tool automatic tool changer with optional 60-tool capacity enables rapid tool changes in just 5 seconds, minimizing cycle times and maximizing productivity. Optional pallet changer integration allows for seamless part loading and unloading without interrupting the machining process. The machine's modular design and ability to perform simultaneous five-axis operations make it ideal for aerospace, automotive, medical, and mold-and-die applications requiring high precision and complex geometries.
