The TORNOS DECO 20A is a high-precision horizontal machining center designed for complex Swiss-type turning operations. It features a main spindle with a maximum turning diameter of 1.000" and a maximum turning length of 7.870", capable of handling bar stock up to 0.790" in diameter. The main spindle delivers up to 10,000 RPM and 7.5 HP, with a C-axis indexing precision of 0.100°. The sub-spindle supports a maximum turning diameter and length of 0.790" and 7.870", respectively, operating at up to 6,000 RPM and 7.5 HP, also with 0.100° indexing precision. The machine is equipped with two tool carriers: a front slide supporting up to 10 turning tools and 4 rotary tools (each up to 3.0 HP and 8,000 RPM), and a back slide with up to 4 turning tools and 3 rotary tools. Up to four tools can cut simultaneously, enabling efficient multi-tasking. Secondary milling and drilling functions are standard both on-center and off-center, with Y-axis capability and optional C-axis support. The system offers 8 standard axes, with options for up to 9 axes. X-axis travel is 0.790" and Z-axis travel is 7.870", providing precise control for intricate machining tasks.
