Technical Description
The Toyoda MVB Series Vertical Machining Center is a heavy-duty, high-capacity machining solution designed for large-scale, precision metalworking. It features an expansive work table measuring 196.8” x 78.7” (optional 314.9” x 98.4”), capable of supporting a maximum workpiece weight of 39,600 lbs, ideal for machining large, heavy components. The machine is equipped with a vertical CAT50 spindle, delivering a standard top speed of 6,000 RPM, with an optional upgrade to 10,000 RPM, powered by a 35 HP motor rated for 30 minutes, providing robust cutting power for a variety of materials.
The MVB Series utilizes a 4-axis configuration, offering extensive travel distances of 199.2” (optionally 318”) on the X-axis, 126” (optionally 153.5”) on the Y-axis, and 39.4” on the Z-axis, all with maximum feed and rapid traverse rates of 394 inches per minute, ensuring efficient and precise material removal. Tool management is robust with an automatic tool changer accommodating 60 tools as standard, expandable up to 120 tools, enhancing productivity and machining flexibility. Although no pallet changer or rotary table is standard, the machine's large indexing table support provides stable, versatile workholding.
Built for high-rigidity performance with vibration-dampening construction and fully adaptable tooling options, the Toyoda MVB Series excels in heavy cutting, large workpiece milling, and demanding production environments requiring durability, accuracy, and throughput capacity.
