A+Technical Description
The Union P 130 Horizontal Machining Center is a high-capacity, versatile 4-axis CNC machine designed for heavy-duty horizontal milling and machining. It features a large table size of 157" x 78" as standard, with an optional expansion to 196" x 98", capable of handling workpieces up to 999,999 lbs, making it suitable for ultra-heavy and oversized parts. The machine offers a horizontal spindle with a CAT #50 taper (optionally HSK 63) running at a top speed of 3,000 RPM, upgradable to 4,000 RPM, driven by a powerful 62 HP motor, with an optional boost to 80 HP for enhanced cutting force. Equipped with a 40-tool Automatic Tool Changer (ATC) expandable to 80 tools, the Union P 130 achieves rapid tool changes in 2 seconds, minimizing downtime. The machine’s axes include a 157" travel in X, 78" in Y, 32" in Z, with optional extension up to 1000" in X and 157" in Y, and rotational axes A (110°) and B (360°) for versatile part orientation. Feed and rapid traverse rates of up to 590 ipm ensure efficient material removal and positioning. Optional features include support for indexing tables, rotary tables, and an additional U axis, enhancing machining flexibility and multi-axis capabilities. The robust construction and large work envelope make it ideal for aerospace, heavy equipment, and large mold machining applications, delivering high rigidity, precision, and throughput in large-scale manufacturing environments.
