Technical Description

The Victor 1840DCL is a full CNC flat-bed lathe with an 18.11 in. maximum swing over the bed, a 9.45 in. maximum turning diameter over the cross slide, and a 40 in. maximum turning length between centers. The main spindle chuck is 8 in. standard (10 in. optional), driven by a 10 hp motor to a maximum of 2,500 rpm. The control is a FANUC 0i Mate-T with a FANUC AC digital servo system, high-resolution absolute encoders, and an 8.4 in. color LCD display, running standard G-code/M-code/T-code/S-code programming plus constant surface speed (vector) control. Two electronic handwheels are provided for manual-assist operation. The machine bed and major castings are Meehanite iron for damping and rigidity.
