A+Technical Description
The WFL M35 is a high-performance horizontal machining center designed for complete, multifunctional machining of complex shafts and chuck parts. It features a main spindle with a maximum turning diameter of 20.470" and a maximum turning length of 78.700", supporting a chuck diameter of 9.840". The machine is equipped with a single main spindle capable of up to 4,000 RPM and 43 HP, with an optimized setting of 3,300 RPM and 70 HP for demanding operations. The M35 integrates a robust tooling system, including an automatic tool changer (ATC) with capacity for up to 80 turning and 80 rotary tools, and a secondary turret with 12 turning and 12 rotary tool positions. Rotary tools deliver up to 26 HP at 6,000 RPM on the primary carrier and 12 HP at 8,000 RPM on the secondary turret. The machine supports simultaneous use of two cutting tools and operates on five axes, enabling advanced milling, turning, boring, and gear-cutting operations in a single setup. Axis travels are 23.620" (X), 9.840" (Y), and 33.070" (Z), all with rapid traverse speeds of 984 ipm for fast, efficient machining. The WFL M35 is engineered for high-speed, high-productivity production, offering in-process measuring, 80 bar coolant pressure, and the flexibility to function as a lathe, 5-axis machining center, or deep-hole drilling machine, making it ideal for complex, precision manufacturing applications.
