Technical Description
The WFL MillTurn M40-G x 3000 is a high-performance horizontal machining center designed for multifunctional turning, boring, and milling of complex workpieces up to 520 mm in diameter and 3000 mm in length. It features a robust spindle equipped with a 12.4-inch power chuck and offers a spindle turning speed range from 3 to 4,000 rpm, enabling precise and efficient machining of large and complex parts. The milling head operates at speeds up to 9,000 rpm, supported by a milling spindle power output of approximately 33 kW, delivering strong torque of up to 284 Nm for heavy-duty cutting applications. The machine's rotary axes include a highly precise C-axis with an indexing resolution of 0.001°, and a B-axis swivel range of -110° to +110°, enabling complex 5-axis machining operations. The Y-axis travel is selectable between 3.9 and 5.9 inches, providing additional flexibility for machining contours and features that require lateral movement. The WFL M40-G is built with a stable, rigid structure featuring wide guideways and incorporates a high-precision measuring probe system for integrated in-process measurement, which greatly enhances accuracy and quality control. The machine integrates a CNC control system, enabling seamless operation and programming, and supports a pick-up tool magazine for long tools enabling versatile machining strategies. The design emphasizes dynamics, torque, and feed forces for maximum productivity, suitable for industries requiring premium precision such as aerospace and automotive sectors. Its capability to perform one-hit complete machining significantly reduces setup times and increases throughput.
