Technical Description
The Yama Seiki AWEA AH-630 is a high-performance horizontal CNC machining center designed for precision and heavy-duty machining. It features a 24.8" x 24.8" table capable of supporting workpieces up to 2,640 lbs, with integrated standard rotary table support but no index table. The machine operates on four axes (X, Y, Z, and B), with travels of 40.15" (X), 35.43" (Y and Z), and full 360° rotation on the B-axis, enabling complex four-axis machining. It houses a powerful horizontal spindle with a BBT50 taper, delivering 35 HP (30-minute rating) with top speeds of either 10,000 rpm direct drive or 6,000 rpm geared spindle options, offering up to 705 Nm torque for robust cutting. Tooling is managed via an automatic tool changer (ATC) with a standard 60-tool magazine expandable up to 240 tools, supporting diverse tooling needs and maximizing job flexibility. Optional pallet changing capabilities accommodate two pallets for improved productivity. Rapid traverse rates reach 1,890 ipm across all axes, facilitating high-speed positioning and cycle times. Equipped typically with a Fanuc 0i-MD CNC controller (optional Siemens), the AH-630 is suited for aerospace, automotive, and heavy industrial applications, excelling in machining steel, aluminum, titanium, and other challenging materials with high precision and reliability. Its robust construction and advanced spindle system deliver consistent performance for demanding component fabrication. Optional configurations and extensive tooling capacity enhance adaptability to complex production requirements. This machining center balances speed, power, and precision in a horizontal configuration for effective, versatile manufacturing operations.
